LOW FLASHPOINT FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM (LFSS)

Built to perform. Engineered to engine-specific requirements.

Auramarine Low Flashpoint Fuel Supply System (LFSS) unit is the core process skid that conditions and delivers low flashpoint fuel, such as methanol, from the vessel's tanks to the engine. It manages pressure and flow with the precision that low flashpoint fuel handling requires, and forms the centre of Auramarine's methanol fuel supply system.

What lfss unit does?

Auramarine Low Flahspoint Fuel Supply System (LFSS) unit draws fuel from the bunker and service tanks and supplies it to the engine at the pressure and flow rate the engine needs, continuously and under safe, controlled conditions.

It is engineered as part of a complete fuel supply system, working together with the master fuel valve unit, tank management system and automation to keep fuel delivery stable across all operating modes.

Precise Pressure and Flow Control

The unit regulates fuel pressure and flow to the engine's target values, adjusting automatically as engine demand changes.

Built for Low Flashpoint Fuel Handling

Design and material selection account for the specific handling requirements of low flashpoint fuels, supporting safe operation throughout the fuel supply process.

Integration with the Wider Fuel Supply System

The LFSS unit operates as part of the full system scope, alongside the master fuel valve unit (MFV), tank management system, bunkering management system, double-wall pipe monitoring, automation and ESD, and the ship-to-shore link.

Safety and Automation

The LFSS unit is coordinated by Auramarine's ESD and control automation, which adjusts fuel properties to the engine's target values and manages safe shutdown sequences when required. Cause-and-effect matrixes, alarm diagrams and system documentation define its behaviour across every operating scenario.

USED ACROSS VESSEL TYPES

The LFSS unit is deployed on newbuilds and retrofits across vessel types running on methanol, including cruise vessels, hybrid tankers, container ships, RoPax vessels and tugs. Auramarine's methanol systems are in service on vessels such as the cruise ship Mein Schiff 7.

Lifecycle Support

Auramarine supports the LFSS unit across its operating life with installation supervision and commissioning, inspections and annual health checks, genuine spare parts with fast delivery from stock, and service agreements covering optimisation, modernisation and retrofits.

Why Auramarine LFSS Unit

Auramarine engineers the LFSS unit to the vessel's specific configuration, backed by precision engineering, dedicated project delivery and lifecycle support from design through to long-term operation.
